Hi My Name Is __________
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my very first blogger meet up. It was organized by the lovely Kileen from the Cute and Little blog. We all met at a local restaurant and had a blast. It was so great to meet 14 other girls that love to do what I do, BLOG!!! As I was going through the pictures that I took I realized that I didn't get one with myself so hopefully there will be a few pics of me on the other girl's blogs. I encourage all of you to organize your own meet up in your city and get out and share your love of blogging. Check out a list of all the girl's blogs that came here. Happy Monday Everyone!

Mary Had a Little L.A.M.B......
Ok well maybe I'm not talking about Mary but I did just get to browse the entire Fall 2011 L.A.M.B. collection and I love it. I know that fashion week is all said and done but these looks were too pretty not to post. I love the bold colors and native inspired patterns. Since I wasn't in attendance, according an article on style.com the show was divided into 6 sections and yes I have a clear favorite. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday what about you?

Golden Polka Dots.....
This cardigan is another one of my thrift store finds, I got it half off for a whooping $0.40. I took a risk on it since it's a missy size large but immediately thought about wearing it as an oversized boyfriend sweater. It's totally grandma's closet but I love it and knew that it had to be worn with something pretty simple underneath. I opted for all black, and since I am totally embracing mixing black with brown I wore my purse turned clutch that I also thrifted a few weeks ago.

The Lumberyard with no Lumber.....
Antique shopping has become one of my favorite things to do. There is something about finding a one of a kind goodie that makes the thrill of the hunt so worth while. This past weekend was one of the many Old Red Lumberyard sales that is held in this very cool vacant outdoor lumberyard. Its not the size that you would think a typical lumberyard would be, but instead is a quaint little area where about 10 vendors set up shop to sell you their latest vintage finds. While I didn't purchase anything that day, because I have this very bad habit of never having cash, I couldn't help but snap some pictures of some of the stuff they had.

Who Said a Burger had to be Wrapped in Paper?
Yesterday I was finally able to try one of those, hey we should try that place, restaurants that I had been stalking for awhile. I have been to quite a few restaurants in Dallas and unfortunately most of them have been added to the do not return list. However, Square Burger was a great addition to the I would definitely go back there list. The food was simple yet full of flavor and everything about my plate was a visual explosion. The sweet potato fries were the perfect size and crispiness, the pickle had a golden tempura crust, and the burger was....I'll let the pictures speak for that one. It was one of those dishes that came out looking so good that I didn't want to touch it. If you are ever in downtown McKinney and in the mood for a quality burger I would definitely give this place a whirl. Happy Monday Everyone!

Thrifty Finds....
One of my go to thrift stores is having a sale. I know, a sale at a thrift store? Its like cheaper than cheap. I found a few fun items to add to my wardrobe most of which will be in upcoming outfit posts. Today for work I opted to wear my new puff vest, it has the perfect amount of puff and I love the toasted coconut brown color. Its simplicity makes it quite the versatile piece. I hope you all had a great week and have an even better weekend.

Retro Sunnies for you....
Every season I look forward to seeing what the next "big thing" is going to be. Although I don't really wear sunglasses, which might soon change, I have always loved all the cute and fun styles they come in. This season, while I am sure everyone will still be wearing the over sized Jackie O style, the square frame with the graduated lenses and metal details at the temple are making a return. Let me tell you I am so loving the return of 70s style.

Love is in the Air......
Valentine's Day was a fun night out. Although I didn't stay home and have a home cooked meal by candle light I had the next best thing. Dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, PF Changs! We did have to wait an hour to be seated but dinner was lovely and I came home to some yummy chocolate treats. I decided that I wanted to be just dressy enough to celebrate the day with the beaded dress, but added a casual touch with my boots. I snapped a few pics before I left home, and then a few more while we were waiting for our table. What did you all do? Anything fun?

I Have Died and Gone to Alice and Olivia Heaven......
Ok, so I was browsing through the runway shows of fashion week again and stopped at Alice and Olivia. I can't say that I have looked at all the shows thus far but of the ones that I have seen this look is hands down my favorite. The worn in leather pants, the sparkly top, and oversized fur collar on the sweater cardigan is everything a girl could want in an outfit. I LOVE IT!!!! What are your favorite shows so far?
P.S.- Note to self, faux fur is not slowing down for Fall.....

My Weekend In Lace.....
The weather this past weekend more than made up for the ice and snow that we have been getting the past couple weeks. The highs reached a luke warm 70 degrees and it was the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy the city. On my last visit to Free People I saw this lace dress on a couple of the associates and had to have it. I don't know that it was actually meant to be a dress as the tag says intimates but I wore it out anyway and loved it. I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day.
