Cute Little Crowns....
With New Years Eve rapidly approaching I am still on the fence about what I want to wear for my big night out on the town. The past couple years I haven't done anything note worthy but this year I plan on getting all dolled up and going out to DANCE!! I came across this very cute idea from A Subtle Revelry for these very cute very simple crowns. They are so easy to make, all you need is floral wire, tinsel garland in the colors of your choice, and a glue gun. What woman isn't still a princess at heart, right?

An X mas Bauble....
Its Christmas Eve and I hope that you all are enjoying time with close friends and family. I have finally finished all my shopping for the big day tomorrow and I look forward to doing what I do best on Christmas, NOTHING! Just kidding, I will be unwrapping gifts with my mom and dad, helping to cook for the family Christmas dinner, and maybe squeezing in a little relaxing. :) I leave you with this X mas bauble, I found it today while roaming the net. Its inspired by a necklace that I got from J Crew a few months ago but for a fraction of the price. My gift to you! MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.

Full Zip.....
I recently found this what seemed like a very plain navy dress at The Gap. Upon further inspection I flipped it around to the back and BAM, there it was a zipper the full length of the dress. What a great detail for a great dress!

Acneish......
I recently saw these shoes online and loved the idea of them. They remind me of a pair of Acne shoes that I was stalking for a bit last holiday and then decided against because yet again they weren't in my budget. That awesome chunky heel adds just the right amount of a modern touch and with a price tag of only, $32.80, and two color options these shoes too great of a deal to pass up. Happy Monday!!!

Love High, Buy Low.....
As we come closer to the holidays, I am sure like many of you, I have been doing quite a bit more shopping that normal this time mostly for other people instead of myself. While out shopping yesterday I fell into The Gap and found a dead ringer for the Current/Elliott camo Letterman pullover. I had been eyeing this top for awhile but with a price tag of over $100, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Well The Gap took care of it for me AND saved me a couple coins. I do love the high but this time opted for the look alike from The Gap. Happy Shopping Everyone!!!
CURRENT/ELLIOTT LETTERMAN $128

Layers of Lace....
Without even realizing it today's post is also and ode to lace details. This dress, while not quite as sexy as the dress in my last post is just as fabulous in its own way. The purposeful color choices mixed to create this dress are unique and fun. Even in all its grand uniqueness, this dress somehow managed to sit in my closet for about a year. EEEKKKK!!! Once I put it on to finally wear it out of the confines of a dressing room I immediately remembered why I loved it so much in the first place. I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

A Little Lace....
This dress makes me feel sexy! Yes I said it, sexy. The delicate lace hem reminds me of something that should be on a nightie and is what attracted me. Its simple, its cute, and the perfect compliment to my black velvet jacket. A little lace makes everything better.
Style Tip: You can be sexy during the day without showing a lot of skin. Lace details will usually do the trick, a lace hem like my dress, a lace yoke, or even a lacy sleeve is perfect. So go find your daytime sexy, I did. ;)

Zig Zag.....
I love this dress!!! The black and white zig zag pattern in this textured fall fabric is a great piece for the weather here in Texas as it sort of transitions into winter. Once it gets a little cooler outside I can pair it with my slouchy black boots and black wool coat, YAY! I hope you are all having a great week and after tomorrow enjoy an even better weekend.

Florals.....
HIIIIIIII, Everyone!!! Whoa, its been way longer than I would like since my last post. Work has started to take up way more time than I am used to so of course unfortunately my blog has taken a little bit of a back seat. I was able to finally snap a couple of pictures of this cute floral printed dress that I recently picked up. Its still quite warm here Dallas so its been nice to layer and unload those layers as the day goes on. I hope you all have been well. xoxo

Bold Burn Out.....
The fabric used for this dress is quite unique and the bold colored burnout velvet is eye catching, which is why its part of my wardrobe. It makes a statement without needing too much extra jewelry or layers. The perfect dress for a perfectly warm day.

JCP.....
JCPenney, or as it is called now and days, JCP was one of those stores that I frequented way more often when I was younger. I lived for a great pair of Arizona jeans back in my day. As I got older the store took a back seat to more boutique like smaller retailers like J Crew and Anthropologie that are a little less overwhelming to shop in. A couple weekends ago while helping my mom look for an outfit for a party I found myself back in Pennies and found this dress, amongst other things. Its a flattering knit style and will be a great transitional piece into the colder months. I can't wait to wear this with my boots and long coat, for now I opted for my go to denim jacket and these gold wedges that I just can't get enough of.

Snap Shot....
I love all the embellishment that J Crew has been doing the past few seasons. This embellished oxford number had me at hello. Its one of those pieces that definitely makes a statement and I love it. I know its after Labor Day but I might try to squeeze in wearing this shirt one more time with white denim shorts....Happy Hump Day!!!!
