The Return Of Chewbacca....
I decided to poke a little fun at my vest today. I actually really do LOVE this furry vest but my boss made fun of me all day for wearing it. Hence, the title of my post. He is a jeans and tee kinda guy and doesn't really go too much outside of the fashion box, but it was all in good fun. After having about a week of awesomely warm weather, there was a little cold front that came through so I had to bring my favorite boots back out.

The Prettiest Of Feathers....
In my opinion, a peacock feather's are one of the prettiest in all of feather world. So, when I saw this top I just had to have it. While what initially attracted me to it was the feathers, the mini pleat detail at the top is what sold me. Of all the shirts in my wardrobe this is one of my favorites and can be worn so many ways. This time I opted for a more casual look with my ripped jeans, and heels.

I'm Wearing Stripes So It Must Be Spring.....
Another outfit post today. Boy, have I been on a roll this week. I have always loved the way yellow looks paired with blue and white. There is something about this color combo that makes me think of warm weather. For those of you that have followed my blog for awhile now you know that I love denim jackets. Hence, me wearing one yet again. They are so easy to layer, especially for the great spring weather we have been getting. Happy Hump Day, only 2 more days until the weekend.

Thrifty Finds....
I love the new maxi skirt trend! There are definitely lots of options to choose from high to low. I decided to pick the low since I love a good deal. I found this skirt at the thrift store a few weeks ago and I love it. It has the most perfect tiny pleats and cute caramel dots to add a little bit more interest. I haven't worn the belt that I have on as much as I would like so I put it on over my denim jacket, and it was just what this outfit needed.

My Take On It.....
Last week I blogged about loving the mix of leopard and polka dots, here. I was finally able to take a couple pictures of my version this past weekend. As I mentioned before, I love that it unexpectedly looks great together. Thanks for the inspiration Taylor and Bee.

Nail Art....
I have been wanting to get a manicure for sometime now but can't bring myself to pay for something that may last for 2 days and then start to chip at the first sight of water. So when I saw a couple of the girls in my office with this very cool stick on nail art I had to see what it was all about. I stopped by my local drug store and picked up the below nail dress. Sally Hansen also had some for sale but I really liked that this brand had a metallic leopard! They weren't the easiest to apply smoothly while also covering the entire nail but for my first go I think I did a pretty good job. I will definitely try these again, and I'm sure with a little more practice I will be a pro at applying them. They are such a fun alternative to nail polish. I hope you all had a great week and have an even better weekend.

Who's Your Mother....
With the return of the high waist pant, one brand that I have seen popping up quite a bit is Mother denim. How does a brand become unique in a such a saturated market? Stay right on top of the trend! Although high waist pants aren't the only style this brand is carrying, they seem to be one of the first of a hand full of denim companies that has managed to get their version of this style everywhere. I haven't had a chance to try these jeans on, but if you have what do you think?

Love High....But Buy Low
So I know that we have all been drooling over the new collection of Proenza Schouler bags. These bags are one of the chicest messenger styles that I have seen which I blogged about here. However at a retail of $1500+ not many of us can afford it. Well lucky for you I saw the below bags last time I was in Target for a very moderate $34.99, and will give you the same look at the Proenza bag. We all love the high but its great to have a buy low option.

Dress My Nest: Finally A Rug!!
As many of you know I have been looking for a rug for my living room since forever! Well, more like a year. I would either find something that I loved that was way out of my price range, or find one that was just ok but could afford. A couple of weeks ago now I decided to take a browse in Home Goods, as I so often do, and to my surprise they were having a rug sale. Well, there she was, the perfect rug and at a price that I could afford. There are a few more things that I need to complete the decor before I post pictures of the entire room. The next major thing I want to tackle is a paint job. I am looking for the perfect mocha brown with just the right amount of cream. Any suggestions?

Eye Candy....
This week flew by! Tonight as I so often do when I don't already have a topic in mind, I browse the web for inspiration and then something usually hits me that I find interesting to blog about. I almost always end up posting a cute outfit, interior, or some garment that I think I can't live without. However, today I decided to change it up a bit. Some real eye candy! This guy is quite handsome and can probably wear a paper bag and still be great to look at. Thanks Stockholm Street Style for capturing this stylish guy. I hope you all had a great week and have an even better weekend.

I'm kinda loving the mix of leopard print with polka dots. I may just have to put together an outfit like this soon.

What's Your GILTy Secret?
One of the very first posts on my blog was about my GILTy pleasure, here. Since then the gilt.com site has had alot of press and needless to say has become way more popular. Its not very often that I make a purchase but today was a Tucker sale and the skirt below, that I have had my eye on for quite sometime, was going to be on sale. So I was at my computer at 10:59 and when the sale started at 11:00 sharp I clicked to get on the site, scrolled to the skirt, and it was already "In Members Cart" status! I couldn't believe it, the sale just started. So needless to say I didn't get the skirt, which in the long run there will ALWAYS be something to buy. But I must know, are there any of you out there that shop on Gilt regularly? Do you have any tips for getting that one item you want before the dreaded "Sold out" logo?

Ebony, Ivory, Living in Perfect Harmony.....
I just had to post this when I saw it today on Decor Pad. Who knew that black could be so chic in a bedroom? This room reminds me of a bachelor's bedroom on its best day. I don't know that I would ever paint the walls of a room black but if I were going to this room would be great inspiration as a starting point.

Wow that was Fast....
So last time I blogged I was on the fence about the more dressy wide leg version of the jumpsuit. Well, I took my own advice and tried one on over the weekend. Not only was it comfortable, it was super cute, and it had pockets! I did a quick price check and at $15.50 I was SOLD!!! I wanted to post this as an actual outfit post but I didn't make it home in time to takes pictures while there was still daylight. So I took some quick pics on my trusty mirror and here she is. I can wear it during the day with a casual jacket and flats or remove the jacket and add some heels for a night on the town. I hope you all had a great weekend.

The Jumpsuit....
For those of you that regularly follow my blog you know that I am super excited about the return of 70s style. The high waist pants, the flowy bell sleeve tops, the platforms, all of it! There is one trend that I am on the fence about, the jumpsuit. Now I do own a jumpsuit that I wore here, however there are also dressy fuller leg version which I love the idea of, but once on body am not sure about. Now I haven't tried one on so I will take my own advice about trying things on before I judge. But I'm curious to know, what's your take on the jumpsuit?

You Can Stop By Anytime.....
And take pictures of my wardrobe if it means that my stuff will look this good! If you haven't already made your way over to the Coveteur to drool over all the pretty clothing and accessories, this is your assignment for the week and is a must! Its a genius idea, a collection of gorgeous photographs with the subjects being the items from some of the wardrobes of the leaders in fashion staged in the most artful way. Its so inspiring.

A Lotta Ruffle.....
I've never considered myself a "loyal" follower of any particular designer, however when it comes to Rebecca Taylor I just can't get enough. I love all of her cute effortless styles and the fun prints, where do I start? I bought this dress several months ago now and haven't had a change to wear it since it is made out of silk and silk and the cold don't really mix. I dressed it down with my boots that I have been living in lately, but would definitely pair this with some saucy heels for a night on the town. Hmmm, now that I am typing this I should have totally done a day to night post....ugh....maybe next time.
