What's Your GILTy Secret?

One of the very first posts on my blog was about my GILTy pleasure, here.  Since then the gilt.com site has had alot of press and needless to say has become way more popular.  Its not very often that I make a purchase but today was a Tucker sale and the skirt below, that I have had my eye on for quite sometime, was going to be on sale.  So I was at my computer at 10:59 and when the sale started at 11:00 sharp I clicked to get on the site, scrolled to the skirt, and it was already "In Members Cart" status!  I couldn't believe it, the sale just started.  So needless to say I didn't get the skirt, which in the long run there will ALWAYS be something to buy.  But I must know, are there any of you out there that shop on Gilt regularly?  Do you have any tips for getting that one item you want before the dreaded "Sold out" logo?

    I'm sorry you didn't get to buy your skirt. Boooo. Happens to me all the time, but usually because I can't make my mind up about the item and then it sells out.
    I've actually never checked out this site. Will have to soon.

    I often wonder how some gals are so quick on their mouse. I can't count how many times I get all ready for a Gilt sale only to get beat out in the first minute. It's such a disappointment!! I'll definitely be checking back to see if your readers have any good tips!

    That skirt is so pretty - and summery! Versatile for Spring as well... and maybe even Winter with some cool tights. Great buy ;)

    It's the same for GILT man, its ridiculous sometimes! But alas, I know of no way to get there earlier... if you find out please please let me know!!

    i never shop online, so i have no tips, sorry! but, for me, i always buy something as soon as i see it and love it because i know i will regret it later...if i am about to buy it, and i am totally second guessing it, i won't buy it though! hope that helps :)

    Bummer about the skirt! Ah, well. I've never shopped on Gilt, never even heard of it. Love the skirt, though. AND those chunky platforms!

    I encounter that problem on Gilt ALL the time. It can be very frustrating, and more than once I've wondered if there are certain shoppers who get access to the items before the sales officially begin. I can't come up with any other explanation for how some items sell out within the first couple of seconds. I must say, however, the customer service at Gilt is unbelievably awesome!
