Pineapple....

I have been slightly obsessed with pineapples.  Thankfully its been the calorie free kind of pineapple. Pineapples on dresses, gold guilded pineapples, even oversized pineapples on shirts like the one I have on in today's outfit post.  This simple outfit is one that any of you can recreate.  My weekend was spent out enjoying family and the heat that is summer in Texas.  Its Monday everyone new week let's go!

Black and White....

It seems like it was 80 degrees almost overnight in Dallas.  This past weekend was almost a bit too warm and I dreamed of being back in sunny San Francisco.  Since my jet is being fixed, haha, I decided to wear this great dress that I picked up while visiting my family a few weeks ago.  I love the bell sleeves with the all over squiggle print and paired with my favorite booties it ended up being the perfect look for the day.

Full Banded Pleats......

Life has been so busy these past couple weeks but I am back and with a new outfit post.  I have wanted one of those very cute full banded skirts after passing up the cutest version from Pleasure Doing Business at Neimans about a year ago now.  So when I saw a version of this style on a recent visit to Francesca's I jumped for joy.  They had quite a few color options but I opted for the navy and before I walked out the door I was already planning outfits for this newest addition to my closet.

One Dress 3 Ways....

Don't you love a piece that you can wear multiple ways?  Its like getting more for your money and we all love a good deal.  The versatility of this dress is one of the main reasons I bought it. Making It Work...

HIIIIIII, everyone!!!  I have missed you all so much.  I know you are probably wondering where I have been and for those of you that follow me on instagram you already know but if not I was in Hong Kong and China for 2 weeks working.  It was one of the best experiences that I have had to date and if any of you ever have the chance to visit Hong Kong you should go. Its such a wonderful and special place.  I have an outfit for you all.....YAY!!  I found what was supposed to be a tunic at Anthro a few weeks ago.   I loved the print and when I grabbed it off the rack I realized it was a size large.  I decided to try it on anyway knowing that it would be too big but it ended up working as a dress instead.  I wore it with heels this time but it can easily be dressed down even more with a pair of sandals and denim jacket in the early Fall.  I hope you all had a great week and enjoy an even better weekend!!

Style Tip:  Find something that you love but its not your size.  Try it anyway, it could work as a dress like I did below or as a "boyfriend" style.  Just use your imagination and make it work.

When Sale Goes on Sale....

Life has been so crazy these past couple of weeks.  I have had outfit pictures held hostage on my camera and I promise that I will post them soon.  I got a new position at work which has required a lot more of my time than my previous position, so while I am excited to be doing something brand new I have not had time to update my blog as much as I would like too.  With that said, you all know that one of my favorite stores is Anthropologie. So when I got an email this morning that all the sale went on sale, everything is an additional 20% off, I was so excited.  I found a couple of necklaces that were on sale from another one of my favorites Pam Hiran, who is the same designer as the necklace that I wore in this post.  There is tons of great stuff, so shop early ladies.

Pink Stripe....

I love a great classic print and style with a twist.  I found this dress awhile ago at Neimans and regretted not getting it. It showed up again at Nordstrom and now its mine.  Its a basic fitted stripe shift but the one bold pink stripe and pin tucks at the waist make it one special piece.

Golden....

I have had this dress in my closet for awhile waiting for the right shoes to wear it with.  I don't usually make it a habit of buying items that I don't already have shoes to go with but I loved this dress so I took a chance.  I found these great gold wedges at Zara during their end of season sale a few months ago and finally I had something to wear with this dress.  Its light and airy and has just the right amount of sparkle, another great Anthropologie find!!!

Style Tips:  Keep a mental note of what your lacking in your wardrobe.  That perfect little black dress, a great pair of nude flats as your go to for the weekend, or a great statement necklace to top off that white button down you have had for months.  It helps to build on what you have and allows you to create new more versatile outfits.

Political....

I purchased this dress because I absolutely have an affinity for Charlotte Taylor and her oh so cute prints!  I wore this outfit to work today and the first thing my boss asked me was, if I was making a political statement.  It was the thing furthest from my mind, but I thought it was kind of funny that's the message this dress sent.  I just thought it was a cute print.  *Shrugs shoulders*

I had an idea for my post today and it was completely side tracked after going through my inbox and seeing the preview for the new Anthropologie catalog. If you can't tell by now, I'm a little obsessed with Anthropologie. I love the overall store experience, it's what keeps everyone going back for more. It's pretty amazing! The cover def does the job and draws you in. I love the yellow top and the cute straw hat. I can't wait for the new Fall line!

The sparkle detail on the skirt and the delicate lace on this top are so cute. The rickshaw taxi's in the background are also pretty cool!

Yes, this outfit is very neutral but the soft ruffles on the blouse and the pleats on the shorts add that extra umph! Its just pretty!
