Green with Envy

This past weekend was perfect. I hung out outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather, but the fruits somehow didn't make it into the mix. :) I did some shopping, a bit at the regular mall and a little thrifting. I haven't had the best of luck lately with the thrift store shopping but fell upon a gem of a skirt yesterday. It's the perfect vintage piece, except for the missing closure on the side, which apparently is "part of the styling" at least that's what the store clerk told me. I loved it so much I bought it missing zipper and all. I will have to take a visit to my local Joanne's to figure something out. Anyway I wanted to share my find with you. Isn't it so cute? I can't wait to outfit this and share with you all. Happy Monday!

Picnics and Such....

This has been a long week and I am so happy the weekend is here.  Nothing major planned maybe a little shopping, maybe the shoes I posted yesterday???  We'll see.  The below is the perfect image of everything that I would like to do this weekend.  Spend some time outside, enjoy the great weather we have been having, and enjoy some fresh fruit....yummy!  I hope you all had a great week and an even better weekend!

Love High...But Buy Low

I know the warm weather is quickly coming to a close, but I wouldn't resist today's love high, but buy low feature.  This strappy heel is another great transition shoe from Summer to Fall.  They can be worn with tights as the temperature starts to drop.  The Michael Kors version, which does have a few more bells and whistles, retails for $1295.00.  I found a very similar version at Zara for a mere $49.99, there is also a black option which I like a little more.  The only drawback is that you can't shop the Zara site, so you have to have a store in your town if you want to own these beauties.

Happiness for me...

Is finding a purse you have been looking for that you foolishly put back on the shelf the first time you saw it but couldn't get off your mind.  Only to return and it was gone the next couple times you checked for it.  Well the shopping gods were on my side with this one.  Check out my newest purse purchase, isn't she a beauty?

The First Signs of Fall....

Living in Dallas I don't really have the pleasure of enjoying a normal fall like most of the other parts of the country.  Its either really hot or really cold and there usually isn't too much inbetween.  This past weekend started out pretty yucky with rain all night Friday to Saturday until about noon, then the clouds parted and it became one of the most beautiful weekends.  The wind was blowing, the sun was shining, and it was the perfect opportunity to dust off my boots and bring them out for their first go around of the season.
