Tiers....

Who doesn't need a fun, flirty, tiered dress?  I wore this number to work last week for my birthday and the tiers made me want to shimmy all day long!

Style Tip:  Not sure you can pull off a tiered dress?  This style can be a little tricky but if executed correctly it can be very flattering.  There are many variations of this style, from a single tier on the bottom hem, similar to the one here, to multi layered top to bottom tiers, like this option.  Just keep in mind that this style tends to add bulk because of the layers so proceed with caution with your tier option.

Unexpected Zippers Part 2.......

Do you remember the dress that I wore here? Well, I loved it so much that when I saw its twin on sale I couldn't resist buying it.  I love love love the little anchor screen print on the front corner.  It was just the perfect detail that made it different enough than the first dress.  Same great fit but brand new look.

Style Tip:  If you find a style that you love, fits great, and makes you feel beautiful do not be afraid to buy it in multiple colors.  I have done this longer than I can remember.  Yes this is the exact same dress as the one worn here, but I have the fit that I love in a new color that creates a completely different look.

Parrots.....

I am always talking about incorporating more prints in my wardrobe so when I spotted this skirt at H&M I quickly grabbed it.  I love the way this skirt was worn here, but its too hot in Texas for a blazer.  Instead I decided to let the skirt stay the focal point of this outfit by adding a white button down with these nude heels.

Style Tip:  Not sure how to wear an over the top print?  Looking for something simple?  Try a white or black tee or button down.  More fun? Try mixing another print with the same colors or a bold colored top.  I opted for simple this time but next time I may kick it up to be more fun.

Weekend Wear......

My boyfriend spotted this very cool mural of Obama next to the spot where we had brunch in Houston last weekend, so of course I to take some quick snaps by it.  I love these new shorts I recently picked up from J Crew. They are the perfect white, the perfect length, and SUPER comfy.  I wanted a no fuss outfit so I threw on this chambray top and my go to JC wedges.

Style Tips:  Don't be intimidated by white bottoms.  They are super easy to wear and come in a variety of fabric and style options.  Just find what works best for you. If you choose wisely your shorts can be worn for many summers to come.  I plan on doing that with this pair.

Go Girl, Its Your Birthday.......

So today is my birthday!  So excited and will just take it all in and enjoy the day.  I took some birthday pictures with my cousin over the weekend and I wanted to share some of them.  Their dog decided to hop in one of the test shots so how could I not include her right?  I hope you all had a great weekend!

A Moment.....

This is the last week that I will spend in my twenties.  As I look back at all the experiences and memories I have I am so happy and feel so blessed to have family and friends that love me unconditionally.  This blog has been one of the most fun hobbies I have had and can't wait to see what the next decade of my life brings.  With that said I just want to take a moment to myself tonight, and maybe a couple more moments this week. :)  Blog updates may be a little random, but will definitely be back to my regular scheduled program next week.

Sparkle and Skulls....

Since I went a little crazy buying shoes from all the great Spring sales going on I have put a halt on my clothes shopping until the end of the month.  With that said I have been trying to maximize my wardrobe and really "shop" my closet to create different looks with some of my favorite pieces.  You have seen this pair of denim quite a few times, and they were just what this sequin jacket was asking for.  To add a little bit of edge I topped it all off with this skull scarf.

Style Tips:  Not sure which way to go, edgy or girly?  Try mixing both, there are absolutely no rules that state your outfit has to be all one style.  This look can be edgy with a girly touch or girly with and edgy touch. I think I am the latter.

One Print Three Looks.....

I was browsing Pinterest when I found a brand by the name of MSGM.  I clicked the link for the home site and loved every outfit showcased for their upcoming Fall line.  I saw this print and immediately fell in love.  Its is so simple and fun, yet unique enough to create 3 completely different looks.  Which one is your favorite?

Playing Dress Up.....

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to Tootsies to play dress up with 8 other bloggers from the Dallas area.  We were each picking an outfit for an upcoming event that I will tell you more about very soon.  I must say that having free reign to pick anything out of a store was a childhood dream of mine and once given the opportunity it was a little more challenging than I thought.  It was so much fun and I spotted some great items on sale too.  So if you live in Dallas, Houston, or Atlanta I would stop by to get some fun goodies to add to your wardrobe.
