Style Tip: Denim on denim, we have all seen so many versions of this look. Still not sure how to execute it properly? The trick is to make sure that the wash (color) of your denim is different enough so it doesn't look like you were trying to wear a "suit" of denim. Once you have that down the options are endless, add a pop of color with a cardigan, add a bit of a print with your favorite animal print shoes, or just leave it as a simple denim on denim look. The options here really are endless.

Denim on Denim....
Has to be one of my favorite combos. It's one of those outfits that you don't have to think too much about but yet can be so versatile. The last time I posted a denim on denim outfit was quite sometime ago on my last visit to San Francisco, here. The cold snap in Dallas was short lived and I was excited to pull out my shorts and winterize them with boots and a light cardigan. Happy Monday everyone!!!

My Bra Size is WHAT?
This post is a Public Service Announcement to all the female readers of my blog. I wouldn't typically talk about something that some would consider very "personal" however the information that I received from, Dawn, my fitter from Wacoal moved me so much I just had to share this experience with you. I was recently invited by the team at Wacoal for a complimentary bra fitting and to see their Spring/Summer line most of which is currently in stores. So there I was all ready to be told two thumbs up you have been wearing the correct size bra there isn't much work to be done here. Boy, was I wrong! I must admit that I had never had a bra fitting by a professional and buying these under garments was much of a trial and error process for me, much like trying on clothes. After being measured I was told that the size I was wearing was completely incorrect, the band size was too large and the cup too small, which I learned is typically the case for 8 out of 10 women. That means you are wearing the wrong size, yes you. Dawn, brought me a new bra to try in my correct size, which by the way I would have never in a million years thought I was. Once the bra was put on and the girls were strapped in I swear I felt like I had gotten a lift, with no recovery time, or thousands spent. It was like gravity didn't exist and for a moment I felt like I was in my twenties again. HA!! We all forget just how important a great base layer is and if you do one thing in 2013 I would recommend that you go get fit for a bra. You will not regret it. Wacoal has a great guide on how to measure at home, here, if you are too shy to have someone do it for you. So say it with me ladies,"Say no to the sag, this year I will get a great fitting bra instead of a new bag!" :)

Zig Zag....
Living in Texas I don't always get to wear my winter wardrobe as often as I would like. One day its 30 degrees the next its over 70, which is usually the case resulting in me trying to winterize my warm weather clothing. Because of this I try not to buy too many thick sweaters however this sweater was quite the exception. As many of you know when I am shopping there is usually one particular thing that draws me to an item. For this sweater is was the bronze ribbon used though out that initially made me pick it up and after further examination the marled cuffs and hem sealed the deal. I applied my style tip from my last outfit post, here, to this outfit and viola.

Embellished Tiger.....
The moment I saw this jacket at Free People I knew I had to have it. Its the perfect statement jacket and I love everything about it. I can dress it up for a night on the town with a form fitting black dress or I can dress it down, with one of my favorite go to base layers, a white tee and denim. I hope you had a great weekend onto the new week!!!
Style Tips: I love a great statement piece especially a statement jacket. They are one of the easiest pieces to outfit, just keep it simple and let your item shine!

Its Back....
Well a version of it anyway. I took a quick stop into Old Navy today and that cute chambray polka dot button down that sold out like hot cakes at the Gap has made a return. This time, at its sister store Old Navy. I quickly picked one up in my size and another one perched right next to it with an oh so cute anchor print. I love a good twist on a chambray shirt, can't wait to wear these.

Dress My Nest: Finally New Curtains!!!
I haven't updated your guys on my home decor progress in FOREVER!! I have been doing a few little things here and there but nothing major enough for a post, until now. I don't know if any of you remember the curtains that I loved and posted, here, well I finally got my own version for my master bedroom. It was my Christmas gift from my mom last year and right before Christmas this year we found and purchased the fabric and she created these beauties for me. This is just a little snap shot of them for now. I have a couple new pieces to get for my room and then all will be complete. YAY!!!

Cobalt....
I saw this dress on the cover of the July Anthropologie catalog and LOVED IT!!! I have had it for a couple months now but the weather hasn't lent itself to me wearing it. Well, it was finally just warm enough for me to wear it this past weekend with my favorite grandpa cardigan. I can't wait to wear it in the warmer months with a great pair of wedges.

Happy New Year!!!
Hi Everyone! Oh how much I missed you all but I decided to take some time off from my blog for the holidays to spend time with my family and just take a break from my computer. While I was on vacation I was able to snap a quick pick of one of my outfits, which for the most part were casual and comfortable. The bottom layer of all black seemed like a good idea until my sweater shed all over it. Lesson learned...HA!! I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store for me and this little old blog of mine.
