That Moment...

When you go to a vintage shop and you find the most wonderful piece to add to your closet.  Well, I had this moment a few weekends ago when I went vintage shopping with my very best friend. I can't wait to wear this with the same white tee, cut off shorts, and wedges.

Cobalt REMIX.....

I love this Anthropologie dress and had to find a way to wear it again in a whole new way.  So this time most of the outfit was made of up pieces I have gotten from Anthropologie through the years.  Here is the previous outfit and below is my remix.

Style Tips:  Have a favorite dress in your closet but tend to wear it one way?  Try a different pair of shoes, a new piece of jewelry, belt it, or add layers, there are really so many options to make what's old look new again.

Artsy....

There was a festival a couple of weekends ago in the "artsy" part of downtown Dallas.  I don't normally feel like I find the next biggest thing at these festivals but it was such a beautiful day outside it was a great excuse to get out of the house for a few hours.   The admission was free so I really didn't have a reason to not go.  I wanted something that was comfy and not too fussy so this light weight polka dot woven and these denim shorts that I lived in last summer was exactly what the weather called for.

Style Tip:  Are you ready for festival season?  Whatever city you live in, once the weather starts to warm up the number of outdoor events dramatically increases.  So add to that mental list that I talk about here, and add a go to pair of shorts and comfy, but cute shoes for those days when you are out and about checking out the latest festival.

Golden....

I have had this dress in my closet for awhile waiting for the right shoes to wear it with.  I don't usually make it a habit of buying items that I don't already have shoes to go with but I loved this dress so I took a chance.  I found these great gold wedges at Zara during their end of season sale a few months ago and finally I had something to wear with this dress.  Its light and airy and has just the right amount of sparkle, another great Anthropologie find!!!

Style Tips:  Keep a mental note of what your lacking in your wardrobe.  That perfect little black dress, a great pair of nude flats as your go to for the weekend, or a great statement necklace to top off that white button down you have had for months.  It helps to build on what you have and allows you to create new more versatile outfits.

Birds....

I got this dress at one of those end of the season super sales.  I saw a version of this print in a jump suit at Anthropologie but as much as I loved the print the style wasn't flattering on me.  So when I saw this color blocked version with the same print I was excited that it was in a better style and that it would be added to my wardrobe.

Style Tip:  Has this happened to you too?  You fall in love with the print or color of a garment but the styling doesn't work well with your figure.  Most designers will use a print or color multiple times in the collection for that season, so keep your eyes open while shopping and you too might have some luck.
