Dress My Nest: Entryway Lighting

I have been in somewhat of a design slump lately. I just haven't been able to find what I am looking for within my budget.   One thing that I did manage to find several weeks ago was a modern version of a chandelier for my front entry hallway.  As soon as I moved into my house a little over a year ago I knew that the very sad cookie cutter light fixture just wasn't cutting it.  I also knew that I wanted a chandelier, and I thought that I wanted a more traditional style but after seeing this one my heart was set on getting it.  I have been waiting for several months for it to go on sale and it finally did.  My dad came up this past weekend to install it for me.  Thanks Dad!  Here she is......

Dress my Nest: Office

I finally found a new desk. YAY! I have been patiently combing through the sea of listings on Craigslist, and last week found the perfect white desk. I went to go pick it up on Saturday and realized that it needed a minor update. So...

Here it is finished, in its new home, my office.

I have to get a few more items to complete the room. I will keep looking for things that I love....I can't wait to show off pics once the room is more complete. I hope you all had a great weekend.
