The Equestrian Scarf.....

While in San Francisco I took a quick stop into H&M, we finally have one in Dallas but its quite the drive away from my house.  I saw the cutest navy blouse with a horse print that I was instantly drawn to. Well, I looked through every size on the rack and mine just happened to be sold out.  I was bummed but saw this scarf that was the exact same print so I settled for it instead.  I will have to snap a couple more pictures of just this scarf so you can see the cute print.

Denim on Denim on Denim.......

Hello from San Francisco.  Its the last day of my trip and the weather the last two days has been perfect!  I had my brother snap these quick pics of my outfit while we were out shopping in Union Square one of my favorite stops.  Its totally the tourist thing to do but I love that all my favorite stores are mashed together in walking distance.  While I was taking these pictures this random lady came in to pose with me so how could I not include one of her right?  Boy, only in San Fran!  I hope you all had a great weekend, and its back to work tomorrow for me.  Time sure does fly when you are having fun!

The Stripe Dress Remix....

The last time I wore this dress, here, it was a little bit cooler outside and for some reason I haven't worn it since.  This time I knew I still wanted to layer something over it so a chose one of my favorite vests that I typically like to wear in Fall.  If I can, I like to add a splash of color to my outfits so I topped it all off with my berry knit scarf.  Happy Wednesday everyone!

The First Signs of Fall.....

The weather is finally starting to cool down in Texas.  It still isn't jacket weather, but I thought this vest was a great alternative.  I built the outfit around my new favorite belt that I got last weekend from Anthro, topped it all off with my go to jeans and white tee, and ended up with the perfect casual yet chic outfit.

Dress My Nest: The Light Fixture...

So as many of my long time followers know I have been in the process of decorating my house.  Its been a slow process but one none the less.  Just to forewarn you, today I have a little bit longer of story than usual.  Here it goes.  A few weekends ago I went to one of my favorite gems of a home decorating store from which have purchased a couple items.  A few mirrors, which you will see in the up coming months, and a lamp.  So on this particular visit I wasn't really looking for anything special just taking my usual browse and came across the most beautiful light fixture, there were 2 of them hanging from the ceiling.  I knew that it would be perfect in my office and they were on SALE!!  I walked up to them to purchase one and hanging on each price tag were 2 sold signs.  BUST!!  I asked the sales person if there happened to be anymore to which she said no and I left thinking that if it was meant to be it would have been available for purchase.  Fast forward to this past Saturday.  I go again, and as soon as I walk through the door to my delight there it was the same light fixture, and only ONE.  I quickly told the associate that I wanted to purchase it.  It was on sale this time too, not as great as the last time, but it was like all the stars aligned and it will be perfect in my office and I can't wait to put it up.  What do you think?

What I Love About Your Look: Fashion Week Edition...

It has always been a dream of mine to attend Fashion Week in NYC.  I'm not sure exactly how I will get there or which shows I will attend but its on my bucket list.  Instead of featuring a fellow blogger this week I thought it would be fun to show some of my favorite street style looks from fashion week.  I hope you all had a great week and enjoy and even better weekend!!

The Waistcoat....

This waistcoat was love at first sight when I first saw it at Barney's a couple years ago.  Its one of those pieces that I think I will have forever.  The deep eggplant color, combined with the gold buttons, and over sized bow make for the perfect waistcoat.  I can tell that Fall is coming since the sun used to still be pretty high when I took my pictures and now it seemed like it was past dusk.  While I love the cooler temps it sure makes taking pictures more challenging.

DIY: A Little Rock and Roll...

I have another one for you all.  I don't post a D.I.Y for weeks and now I have 2 in one week.  This D.I.Y is not quite as cute and girly as the one I posted on Monday but I think that its such a fun easy idea.  As I am probably one of the last people on the planet that doesn't have an iphone so I can't do this for myself but if any of you do and try this let me know how this turns out.

P.S.- Have any of you bought anything from the Missoni for Target collection?  Man that stuff sold out like hot cakes.  All I wanted was that fun zig zag quilt and its no where to be found. :(

Neon Orange.....

I have kind of been obsessed with all shades of orange and as the summer is coming to a close I am trying to wear my summer dresses just a little while longer.  This dress fit the bill today and I normally wear it full without the belt but wanted to try something new today since I had to put a cardigan on to make it more work appropriate.  So a skinny leopard belt and a grandpa cardigan in a neutral color were the perfect additions to this dress today.  As the weather gets a little cooler outside I can swap the sandals for boots and voila an instant transition to Fall.

D.I.Y- Fun Flatware

I don't know when the last time is that I posted a D.I.Y but its been awhile.  I saw the below flatware idea on this blog and I knew I had to share it with you all.  Its so simple and easy and should cost next to nothing.  Did you all have a good weekend?

P.S.- I finally purchased my headboard, ***SQUEAL*** pictures to come, it should be ready in the next several weeks and I have a lot of work to do in my room before it arrives.

Thrifty Finds: The Midi Skirt Now with Polka Dots

I found this skirt quite some time ago while thrifting and first loved that it was pleated, then the midi length, and finally the very cool scribbled effect of the polka dots.  It was like having a traditional pattern with a twist.  I was running late, so I threw it on with a white tee one of my usual go to denim jackets, and yes some pattern mixing with my favorite leopard heels.  One last thing about the necklace, its meant to be worn longer but I clasped it to be much shorter to get a different look.  Its fun to play with your accessories that way to make them work with your outfit. ;)  Happy Wednesday everyone!

The Old Labor Day Rule....

We have all heard the old fashion rule that after Labor Day all white is to officially be packed away not to see the light of day again until Summer.  Well, I had to get one more wear out of this jacket before I am supposed to tuck it away for the season, which may or may not happen.  :)  I have been living in this necklace it reminds me of a much more expensive brand that I would buy if I had the money but had to settle on this one from Forever for now.  Will you all be tucking your white away or transitioning it into winter white looks?

Cantaloupe Part 2....

I love the color of these pants!  They remind me of all things summer, which is quickly coming to an end.  I wore them last time with my lemon yellow shirt here, and wanted to mix it up a bit today. Gingham shirt and striped shoes!  This would have also been good with a solid navy top and a bold necklace, maybe I will try that next time.
