You can leave the light on!

I don't really know why but I have been sooo into lamps lately. During one of my daily rituals, searching the Anthro sale section for deals, I found the first lamp below. I'm not sure where I am going to put the 2 lamps that I bought, but isn't it for the lack of a better word, glorious!!! I love that it's so simple yet so elegant.

Grommets, Studs, and Rhinestones Oh My!

I have been into cool shiny details on shoes lately. From military boots to cute ballet flats, these little bits of goodness just add something extra to a pair of what would be plain boring shoes. Loves all of them!!! What's your favorite pair?

I love this pair! I can see the outfit in my head, a cute little trendy dress preferably in navy and white, a big ring who doesn't love a big ring, gold stud earrings, and the classic 80s Ray ban Wayfarer sunglasses making their way back to the faces of many women.

Spring has Sprung

I saw this cute knit top in the women's line where I work at Fossil and I must admit that it was not love at first site. But after seeing it in the office week after week, it grew on me. So much, that I bought the same shirt in two different colors. At the point of purchase I already knew what I wanted to pair with this white and navy striped number. I also got the chance to wear my new necklace. YAY!

The Ultimate Closet: Haute Hippie

I found the cutest top at Nordstrom Rack last weekend. It was like nothing that I had ever seen before and was by this brand called Haute Hippie. I tried it on only to find that most of the beading was coming off and the asking price was 150.00 which was a little too much for damaged goods in my book. I have been looking high and low for the shirt at another retailer without much luck. It must a couple of seasons old at this point if it was at the rack. Ah well, there are always cute things to buy right. Anyway to much to my surprise as I was checking my email today and Shopbop did a web video with the designer of Haute Hippie, Trish Wescoat Pound. She talks about her line being eclectic, layered, and accessorized. She also talks about the importance of buying key pieces for your wardrobe and building off of them. Lastly, layer, layer, layer, which she also calls mixing ingredients which is just to concept of taking the key pieces in your closet and mixing them with new pieces to make your wardrobe look fresh and new. You can check out the video here. I hope that you get inspired to add a little sparkle to your life......

Brand to Keep an Eye on: BB Dakota

For those of you that don't know me I admit it, I am a closet online window shopper. The first part of recovery is admitting to your problem right? I spend the better part of my free time browsing online stores to see what the next new brand is and mostly just dreaming of having all those beautiful clothes. One brand that has come out of no where and is popping up on a lot of the web retailers is BB Dakota. For some reason I keep thinking of this brand starting as a line that wasn't much to be desired. I do think that some of the styles are a little "juniorish" for lack of a better word. But they have position themselves in a nice niche market catering to in their words, "the glamorous, sophisticated, intelligent, at times demure, at times sexy, always feminine and always confident female". Take a look at some of my favorite pieces from their line Jack by BB Dakota.

What does your Purse Say About You?

I have been obsessing over having a Chloe bag ever since I was first introduced to the brand at my first job at Walt Disney World. I don't know if it was the buttery leather or that cool lock, that weighs about 20 pounds by the way, I just had to have one. For most women their purse is one of the most important elements of their outfit, it is finishing piece that can take an outfit from drab to fab. It also provides many women with the feeling that they too are keeping up with the Joneses. From Louis Vuitton to a basic canvas bag from the Gap, purses are one of the few things that women wear that don't require you to be a certain size. I have been eyeing this bag which is part of the Marcie tote collection. It says that I like bags on the larger end, I love designer labels, but I'm a little out of the box as the color is a bright orange. What does your bag say about you?
