A Little Sparkle....
I love the new sequin trend which will probably come to its peak for the holiday season this year. There is something about taking a detail that is typically worn to an after 5 event, and dressing it down with an oxford shirt, and converse and wearing it to a lunch date with friends or even out to run your daily errand. The possibilties are really endless when it comes to the ways that you can wear sequins. Most of the items that I posted yesterday are more than $100 and not really what most of us would spend on such a trendy piece. Below are my a couple of my sequin picks all under $100. And remember no more than 1 sequin piece per outfit, with sequins less is really more. :)

Say Hello To My Little Friend....
So I finally received my b-day gift from my mom! It came in the form of a Nikon D3000 camera. I am super excited that I have this new camera and that the quality of my pics will be better 10 fold. Let me tell you I haven't had a new camera since 2000, maybe older, just to give you a frame of reference, my old camera was 2 mega pixels. No I didn't forget the 1 from in front of the 2, its really only 2. It was my first digital camera and, I thought it was sooo cool, but now its just old. Really old! Anywho, just wanted to share the good news. I am still learning how to work this thing, but I snapped a few pics of the top and shoes that I wore today.

Mirror Mirror on Your Furniture?
Over the weekend, I found another great piece to add to my home. This time I have moved to the guest room, which I have been neglecting. I am a little bit obsessed with mirrored furniture and while taking a browse at Home Goods, which is one of my new favorite stores, I found the below beauty! There was only one left so I will have to make it work or make frequent trips back and hope that I find another one to match. Although you have to use mirrored furniture in moderation I do hope to find a couple more pieces to add around my house. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Happy Monday!

LBD....Little Black Dress
Its Friday!!!! I was browsing Net a Porter today as I so often do and found the below little black dresses. I have way more versions of the little black dress than a female should have, but you never know when you are going to need to get dressed up at a moments notice. Right?? The LBD never disappoints and can look completely different event to event with a simple accessory update. I hope you all had a great week and have an even better weekend!

Sweet Tooth....
I love sweets! Anyone that knows me, knows that at any given time I am craving something sweet. My favorite thing at the moment is Haribo gummies, but really anything with sugar is a must in my daily life. After browsing through many a blog there is one dessert that consistently looks good in all the images I have seen. Macarons!!! I haven't ever had the opportunity to have one cross my lips, but if these small sweet cookie sandwiches taste as good as they look I will not be disappointed. If you have ever had these, do they really taste as good as they always look?

Love High...but Buy Low: Ann Demeulemeester
So, my love high but buy low post was quite popular! With that said I have another quick one for ya! I have seen a couple versions of the open toe buckle wedge boot one by Ann Demeulemeester, which I have seen a few times on Jane from Sea of shoes, and the other from Opening Ceremony. The Ann D shoes, are a whopping $1225.00 and the Opening Ceremony version, is $785.00. I know, it should be illegal to pay that much for shoes! I was browsing on shopstyle when I found the perfect version that we can all afford available here from Dollhouse. I love these shoes, however there is a pair of boots I am eyeing at the Anniversary Sale. Happy Wednesday everyone, we are halfway there!

1 Great Piece = Many Great Looks
I have always loved those magazine articles that show you how to outfit one item several different ways. To my delight one of the many email that I receive from Shopbop featured this very topic in one of their recent look books. The item is the basic white blouse, the challenge was to 4 of their stylists, and the result was the below. Which look is your favorite?

Dress my Nest: Office
I finally found a new desk. YAY! I have been patiently combing through the sea of listings on Craigslist, and last week found the perfect white desk. I went to go pick it up on Saturday and realized that it needed a minor update. So...
I changed the knobs from these...

Love High....but Buy Low
Its Friday YAY!!!! I have decided to start a Love High, but Buy Low post. I will post as often as I find great deals for high fashion styles that most of us can't afford to buy but love. The first one comes from Givenchy, I love, love, love this shoe, but with a price tag of $633.00 on SALE, I don't think that I will own them anytime soon. So I took to the net and found this pair, from Jeffrey Campbell at a more affordable $168 that is very similar. I do love the high, but love the price tag of the low more. Have a great weekend everyone!

Meet the Ladies...
A couple years ago I saw this necklace in a magazine. As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to have it. Naturally, I came home and googled the designer,Robyn Rhodes, and found the necklace. It went by the name of Rita and it was also sold out! It seems that I wasn't the only person that had the same idea. I waited a few weeks until it was back in stock and bought one for myself. I forgot about this necklace until today when I was looking through my jewelry. I'll have to pull it out and wear it soon. Anyway I took a quick look at her new stuff and wanted to share a couple of my favorites with you. Meet the ladies....

My First GILTy Purchase
I had been stalking the Stuart Weitzman Apron Shoe in brown all season long, when it finally went on sale it sold out in my size at retailer, after retailer. I was at work a couple weeks ago when my daily Gilt group email, that I talk about here, was delivered to my inbox. I looked to see the designers of the day and to my surprise Stuart Weitzman was one of them. I got on promptly at eleven and yes, I found my shoe in my size, I entered my credit card info and the below is what arrived at my house a few weeks later! I love the internet....

I Feel Pretty...
There is something about getting dressed up for a special occasion that gets me excited. While I don't have any plans, at the moment, for an event that requires a ball gown its still fun too look at what's out there and dream. I was recently browsing the 2010 Spring/Resort collections for Marchesa and dreamed of a few places that I would love to wear one of their dresses. They included a red carpet affair, a presidential state dinner, or a black tie wedding for one of my best friends. Any one of these dresses would make any woman, just feel pretty.....

This is Bananas!!!
For the past few weeks I have been all about eating berries. There is such a small window that you can really enjoy the fresh crops of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries that are in the grocery store every week during the summer. This past weekend I took a break from the berries and was able to try this recipe for banana pudding. Just a word of caution, this recipe tastes just as good as it is fattening but it is worth every calorie. I followed the recipe exactly, the only update I made was to crumb the cookies and sprinkle on top the pudding mixture. Other than that its super quick and super easy! Happy Monday!
